I recently published a post about the Mamas Meet Up event which I attended back in June, hosted by the lovely sister duo Natalie Mcilveen and Laura Swann from MumstheWord.online. The event was the first of the Mamas Meet Ups to be held in Brighton and created a real buzz amongst the Mummy community. The idea behind the Meets Ups is to provide an opportunity for like-minded Mums from the local area to get together over coffee and have a natter, before hearing from an inspirational guest speaker from around UK. The event in June included a talk and book signing by the lovely Clemmie Hooper (of @Mother_of_Daughters fame) and was a real success. I’m happy to report that the duo are back again in September for their second Mamas Meet…

To my dearest little Ettie!!  13 months, how did that happen?? It seems like only a minute ago since we placing your arms gently into your tiny babygrow at the hospital, scared we’d somehow break you before loading you ever so carefully into the car seat ready to take you home. You were so tiny then. We were unbelievably excited about your arrival but couldn’t in our wildest dreams have imagined how happy you’d make us feel in the months to come! And now you’re 1 – in fact not just 1, you’re 1 and one whole month! Such a beautiful, happy, loving, funny and caring little girl. Always giving us kisses and greeting us with the greatest of hugs if we’ve been to work for the day. Mummy went…

I attended an event recently and was lucky enough to receive this beautiful Little Aurelia top to toe body lotion in one of the Goodie Bags. I was so impressed with the product that I wanted to write a little post about it to share it with you, as I think its a brand worth talking about. The first thing which struck me, was how beautiful the packaging is. The colours and detail on the illustrations, together with the gold edging around the box make it pretty enough to be on display in my little girls room (OK so its not exactly an ornament but it sits on her book case for the time being as it seems to pretty to hide away in a cupboard!). Bio-Organic & British Made…

Being a mum on maternity leave can be an exciting, but also isolating experience at times – I mean there are only so many times you can clean tomato off the kitchen walls before losing a few of your marbles!! Sister duo Natalie Mcilveen and Laura Swann from MumstheWord.online recognise this and have begun an exciting new venture, hosting fun and inspiring Meet Ups for Mamas in the Brighton and Tunbridge Wells areas. The idea behind the ‘Mamas Meet Ups’ is to provide an opportunity for like-minded Mamas to get together and hear from inspiring guest speakers from around the UK. Events will be held to discuss everything from style, health, well-being and even beginning a new career. The best think about the Meet Ups, is that they are all totally…

All the gritted teeth emoji faces over here!!!! 😬😬😬 After months and months of debate with myself and every other fellow human I’ve came into contact with  – i’m so sorry if I’ve bored you over and over!! I finally took the leap today and made the move over to Samsung leaving behind my trusted Apple IPhone 6!! For me this was huge! I’ve been with Apple for as long as I can remember. I’m an Apple person, we have an Ipad, a Mac and an Apple TV! My husband has an Iphone, my parents both now have Iphones and I cant remember the last time I actually send a green message! I understand where I am with Apple, everything just ‘works!’ However for a while now, i’ve noticed how…

We had a bit of a shitty day yesterday, finding out some news that wasn’t entirely unexpected but which was hard to hear nevertheless. I’m sure I’ll cover it in detail one day, but today is not that day as I think I’d like to process it a while first. Anyhooooo the point of this post is not to make you cry into your cornflakes, but to celebrate the fact that even though our news was rubbish, an afternoon with this little tinker made me forget all our troubles and just appreciate life and all that we already have. Before I became a parent, I used to hear people talking about the magic of parenthood, but I thought it was just something they would say to help compensate for the…
