Magic Monthly Squares December 2018

Magic Monthly Squares is a new monthly hashtag series for Instagram where participants identify their top five Instagram from the previous month using the hashtag #MagicMonthlySquares. I’ve been running this for a few months now and have found that doing a monthly roundup is a really fun thing to do. If you’re a blogger and choose to make you’re selection into a blog post (like me) a round up is a great way to provide a little insight to the thinking behind your squares. Often a lot of thought goes into planning your Instagram feed and sometimes the stories behind the photos are just as interesting as the captions! If you’re not a blogger but still want to look back over the previous months photos, then a round up is…

Introducing Bookabees: A lovely new Book Club for Kids

Shortly before Christmas I was introduced to Bookabees a lovely new book club for children and asked to try out one of their monthly subscription packages. Similar to a library, the idea behind Bookabees is that your child can enjoy 1, 3 or 5 new books each month before returning them to be replaced by more beautiful books. However better than a library, the Bookabees books are delivered directly to your door in a fabulous personalized pack containing all sorts of other goodies such as stickers and interactive activities to grab your child’s attention. All books are handpicked by educational experts based on your child’s age, reading stage and interests and there’s an option to specifically select books which you think your child will enjoy if you so wish. At the end of…

Birthday Break to Stockholm | Part One

About a month we took a little trip to Stockholm to celebrate my birthday and we had the loveliest of times. Jumping on a plane and navigating my way around a new destination has always been my absolute favourite things to do, but our travelling adventures have taken a bit of a back seat since our little Miss came along and the pins on our travel map haven’t been multiplying as quickly as they might otherwise have been. So after an 18 month hiatus, we were back on a plane, travel book in hand and off to explore the city of Stockholm in Sweden and I’m so glad we chose Scandinavia to make our travel come back. You can read all about the first half of our trip below and I’ll…

The Mummy Juggle | Jo from Weaningful.com

Returning to work after having Ettie was a huge hurdle I wasn’t expecting to climb. The impact of trying to juggle running a home, maintaining focus at work and having enough time to spend quality time with Ettie really knocked me off my feet and it was something I wasn’t expecting. Pre-Ettie I loved my job, worked hard, stayed late when I needed to and was 100% involved in projects. Because of that I fully expected to be the same when I returned, however a few months in I discovered I’d actually returned to work a different person and my main focus is now the 3ft tall little bundle of cheekiness I leave at home every morning. I decided to set up this series as I’m interested to hear from…

Small Brand Spotlight | Bethany from This Paper Book

When I first started this blog, the idea was that I’d use it to share with you some of the beautiful handcrafted items I’d been lucky enough to find since having Ettie. I wanted to bring them to your attention so you would be able to have the pleasure of their beautifulness too! Unfortunately life got in the way and I’ve been a bit slack in getting the message out… but with Christmas hurtling its way towards us, I promise to do better and I’m going to kick things off with a quick little post about a lovely company called This Paper Book. I discovered This Paper Book about a year ago when I was looking for little trinkets to add to the shelves in Ettie’s room. A few of…

Magic Monthly Squares November {top 5 Instagram Photos}

For the past few months I’ve been posting a roundup of my top five Instagram photos and its proven to be so popular that I’ve decided to make it into a monthly IG hashtag series called Magic Monthly Squares. If you’d like to take part then please tag your top five Instagram photos from the previous month with the hashtag #magicmonthlysquares and tag me @emmafaith_x on Instagram. At the end of each month I’ll pick a few favourites and share them here on my blog, then hopefully we can build up a little community and share the monthly love. But why…? Well taking the time do to a monthly roundup can be really rewarding. A lot can happen over the course of a month and I’ve found that when I…

Oil Me Up! {Comparison of Facial Oils}

If you like me suffer from the invasion of dry skin in the winter months, then this post is for you. I’ve spent years searching for a moisturiser that would be effective in sorting out my combination skin, applying thick dollops of lotions and potions, trying to achieve a natural dewy glow that even Gwyneth Paltrow would be proud of. Unfortunately nothing seemed to work until around 18 months ago, when I discovered the facial oil. This little wonder product has revolutionised my skin care regime so I’ve popped a little summary of my four favourite products below. * I realise that the Advanced Night Repair is actually a serum rather than an oil, but I thought it would be useful to include it here for comparison reasons. Emma Hardie…
